Five Religions Blessing Garden

The “Five Religions Blessing Cultural Park” is located in the Qinglian Valley Scenic Area of Mount Lu and is themed around blessings from five religions. Centered around a blessing-themed landscape design concept, the park is divided into nine scenic areas, featuring the grand Five Blessings Gate, the modern and elegant Five Blessings Spring, the majestic Five Blessings Garden, and the classic-style Five Blessings Bridge.

After more than 1,600 years of development, under the philosophy of China’s culture of harmony, the five religions have coexisted peacefully on Mount Lu. The mountain has also formed the rare situation where Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Christianity, and Catholicism all coexist on the same mountain.

The cultural park houses a giant copper blessing bell weighing 38.5 tons, standing 476 cm tall in total, representing the 40,076 km length of the equator; the height of the bell body is 365 cm, symbolizing the 365 days of a year; and its circumference is 960 cm, representing China’s land area of 9.6 million square kilometers.

The bell body is cast from sonorous copper and engraved with the symbolic patterns of Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Protestantism, and Catholicism. When rung, the sound can carry up to a radius of 10 kilometers, with the lingering echo lasting as long as two minutes. On the first day of each New Year, representatives of the five religious groups hold a bell-ringing blessing ceremony together, praying for world peace, national prosperity, people's happiness, and social harmony.
