Hongwu Lake is located 1 kilometer north of Mazu Rock, beside National Highway 320, covering an area of 37 square kilometers. It is an important part of the Longhu Mountain scenic area and consists of two sections: Honghu Reservoir and Wuhu Reservoir. Honghu Reservoir has a total storage capacity of 13.26 million cubic meters and a maximum water surface area of 4,000 mu. It serves as a regulating reservoir for the Baita Canal. The lake water is clean and bright, clear and azure, like a mirror embedded in green forests. The blue sky, white clouds, mountains, trees, birds, and passersby are all clearly reflected in the water. When a breeze blows, the lake shimmers with sparkling light, resembling a fairyland on earth. Wuhu Reservoir has a total storage capacity of 2,200 cubic meters and a maximum water surface area of over 8,000 mu. It gets its name from the five interconnected water surfaces formed along the mountain ridges, resembling a palm. The lake is vast, surrounded by mountains and water, with misty waves stretching endlessly. There are small islands within the lake that grow larger or smaller with the rise and fall of the water level. The climate in the reservoir area is pleasant, with abundant rainfall and lush vegetation. As the seasons change, the landscape of the lake and surrounding mountains takes on vastly different appearances.
