The Cao Yuan Waterfall Cluster is located on the picturesque Luxi River in Erkou Township, within the mountainous southern region of Guixi City. It lies within the boundaries of the national scenic area of Longhu Mountain. The area is 40 kilometers from Yingtan City by road. The waterfalls connect to the Wuyi Mountain Range to the north and the Luxi River to the south, passing through Cao Yuan Village.　

The surrounding area features towering mountains, dense woodlands, lush vegetation, and a beautiful environment, abundant in wildlife. In summer, the climate is cool. The waterfall cluster consists of three connected tiers, with the second tier being particularly majestic and spectacular.
