Longhu Mountain Xiangbi Mountain Geopark
Xiangbi Mountain Geopark is an important part of the Longhu Mountain UNESCO Global Geopark. Located on the eastern side of the Luxi River, it runs alongside the crystal-clear waters, forming the best route for a combined land and water tour of Longhu Mountain. Here, a remarkably lifelike and colossal natural stone elephant stands in the mountain, with its massive trunk appearing to descend from the heavens and deeply pierce into the earth. Strikingly vivid and subtly imbued with spirit, it is hailed by many as the “No.1 Divine Elephant under Heaven.” The Xiangbi Mountain scenic area is a key component of the Longhu Mountain UNESCO Global Geopark. The area features towering peaks and cliffs, rushing red streams, steep red cliffs, verdant tree cover, hanging vines, and diagonally cascading waterfalls. It boasts exceptional landscapes characterized by wonder, danger, beauty, serenity, and grace, along with a myriad of unique rock formations. It is a rare showcase of Danxia landform scenery, as well as a destination for scientific research and leisure.
