Jihe Pagoda

Jihe Pagoda is a cultural tourism attraction.

Jihe Pagoda will stand majestically atop Luohan Ridge on the peak of Foling Mountain in the southern part of the city. To its left stands Pagoda Peak and to its right is Lotus Mountain, with Xiyin Zen Temple at the mountain’s foot lying within view. Designed in an antique style, the octagonal seven-story pagoda features an underground palace spanning 1,270 square meters, symbolizing the total area of the entire county. The pagoda has a total height of 56.9 meters, including a main body of 49.6 meters, representing the number of years since the county was established. It is scheduled to be completed and opened to the public by the end of this year. The ground-floor hall of the pagoda will serve as an exhibition space for Buddhist culture, enshrining various Buddhas, while each level above reflects aspects of Dongxiang County such as its general overview, history, historical sites, landscapes, and notable figures. Serving both as a sacred Buddhist site and a “three-dimensional county annal,” the pagoda will become another iconic landmark of our county, as well as a scenic attraction rich in cultural value and local character.
