Boutique Silk Road, Auspicious Gansu: A 7-Day, 7-Night Inspirational Journey Begins in Glory

The large-scale online-offline event titled "Boutique Silk Road, Auspicious Gansu: A 7-Day, 7-Night Inspirational Journey" organized by the Gansu Provincial Tourism Development Commission and hosted by Letu Travel Network will officially commence on July 1, 2017. At that time, 16 travel influencers will showcase diverse perspectives of traveling in Gansu from various angles.

This event unfolds through an interactive format combining online recruitment via Letu Travel Network and offline fieldwork. For the first time, it promotes the slogan "Boutique Silk Road, Auspicious Gansu" on a large scale, using the 7-Day, 7-Night Inspirational Journey as a flagship activity to launch the new slogan "Auspicious Gansu." Based on Gansu’s premium tourism resources, the event introduces four major themed travel routes: Self-Drive Adventure Journey, Yellow River Heritage of China Journey, Dreamy Silk Road Journey, and Hui-Tibet Ethnic Culture Journey. These explore Gansu’s tourism resources in depth and breadth across multiple dimensions such as Silk Road culture, premium routes, folk customs, natural scenery, local cuisine, and transportation infrastructure, producing abundant and innovative content assets.

The event kicks off with the "Dunhuang Travel Silk Road International Tourism Festival," actively implementing the strategic vision of the “Belt and Road” initiative. It comprehensively showcases the unique historical culture, natural landscapes, ethnic customs, and travel beauty of Colorful Gansu, Cultural Gansu, Wellness Gansu, and Auspicious Gansu, enhancing the "Boutique Silk Road, Auspicious Gansu" tourism brand image, and promoting Gansu’s premium tourism resources and route products. Within just one week of going live, over a hundred influencers applied. After rigorous selection, Letu Travel Network chose 16 seasoned travel influencers who were then divided into four teams for on-site fieldwork. Later, they will produce high-quality experiential content for dissemination. Leveraging Letu Travel Network’s authoritative media platform influence and the multi-platform, multi-channel, and wide-reaching advantages of individual content creators, the event aims to shape a new brand image for Gansu tourism.

It is understood that these 16 seasoned travel influencers—of different personalities, professions, and age groups—come from cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Xi'an, Hunan, and Hubei. They possess a high level of literary quality, writing skills, and photography expertise, and most have produced numerous high-quality works with a certain fan base. Passionate about travel and widely experienced, they offer unique insights. Over the 7-day, 7-night itinerary, they will visit over 40 scenic spots such as the First Bend of the Yellow River, Zhangye Danxia, Maiji Mountain in Tianshui, the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, and Langmu Temple in Luqu, embarking on a magnificent and auspicious journey through Gansu.

Gansu is located along the golden section of the Silk Road, resembling a jade Ruyi (a traditional Chinese ornament symbolizing good fortune) inlaid in northwest China. With a long history, stunning natural scenery, and rich ethnic culture, Gansu carries forward the splendid civilization of the Silk Road. The winds of the Silk Road and the splendors of Hexi, along with countless historical relics along the 3,000-year-old ancient road, bear witness to the cultural exchanges between East and West.
