Long’an Hall is a cultural tourism attraction.

Long’an Hall

Located about two kilometers southwest of Shangchi Village, the hall is built on Long’an Hill, which aligns with Qing Mountain (a mountain name) in a straight line. Originally part of Shangchi Village, it was transferred to Xinzhuang Village—about two kilometers southwest of Shangchi Village—after the liberation. Wang Anshi wrote a poem titled “Seeing He Fu Off at Long’an at Dusk”: “A hook of moon lurks southwest, / Spring breeze descends in the evening, mellow as autumn. / Half-shut windows hold no voice, / Till the drums and horns stir the first touch of sorrow.”

After Long’an Hall collapsed, villagers moved the original bricks, tiles, timber, and the stone plaque inscribed with “Long’an Hall” back to Shangchi Village. They rebuilt the hall near the Xilin Shegong Hall in the western part of the village, also naming it “Long’an Hall.” To distinguish it, villagers referred to the hall on Long’an Hill as the “Old Long’an Temple.” The later reconstructed Long’an Hall in Shangchi Village was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, leaving only ruins. The original site of Long’an Hall and the later reconstructed one are both marked on the old village base map of Shangchi.
