Ji Zhou Kiln Museum

The Ji Zhou Kiln Museum is located in Yonghe Town, Jia County, built on the site of the former town government with a construction area of about 6,000 m², meeting second-tier museum standards. It is a thematic museum focused on exhibiting the culture of the Ji Zhou Kiln and the ancient town of Yonghe.

The Ji Zhou Kiln Museum was built to national second-tier museum standards, with a construction area of about 6,100 square meters and a total investment of 30 million yuan. Construction began in 2012 and it officially opened to the public on February 26, 2015. It is currently the only thematic museum dedicated to the Ji Zhou Kiln. The exhibition themes mainly include seven aspects: “A Commanding County in the South of the Yangtze · First County of Luling,” “Kneading Clay and Shaping Forms · Building Kilns and Firing Porcelain,” “Exquisite Wares of Ji Zhou · Ingenious Techniques,” “The Charm of Ji Zhou Ceramics · Rich in Connotation,” “Merchants Gathered Here · Wares Traded Worldwide,” “Radiant Appeal · Far-Reaching Influence,” and “Millennial Ancient Kiln · Rejuvenated Vitality.”

One of the first national research and practice education bases for primary and secondary school students.
