1. Guofu Flower Sea
Located at the foot of the Central Mountain Range, the Guofu Wellness Park is a vast 3-hectare floral carpet jointly created by the Hualien City Government and the local farmers’ association. It’s just a 15-minute drive from downtown Hualien. Featuring seasonal blooms such as begonias, celosia, and salvia, along with blooming rapeseed, cosmos, and zinnias, this year’s addition of land allocated by the Ministry of National Defense has expanded the flower sea by about 4 ping, making the entire Guofu Wellness Park even more spectacular.

Time: Now until 2016/01/31
Location: Guofu Wellness and Leisure Park (beside County Road Hualien 9)
Transportation Info: From Hualien Railway Station, follow Zhongshan Road toward Dexing Gymnasium. After crossing Guofu Bridge, take the second road on the right (Hualien Township Road 9), then turn right. The flower sea area will be on your right after about 50 meters.

2. Shoufeng Flower Sea
The Shoufeng Landscape Flower Field spans around 40 hectares, divided into a 2-hectare themed canvas area, a rapeseed flower landscape field, and an elegant cosmos field. The themed canvas area features seasonal flowers including begonias, African marigolds, salvia, verbena, marigolds, poinsettias, cosmos, and Christmas flowers, arranged to create animal-themed ground art such as the monkey zodiac sign, a fiery tree of silver blossoms, and windmills.

3. Ji’an Flower Sea
The Ji’an Flower Sea is entirely created by the Ji’an Township Farmers’ Association. Spanning 0.7 hectares, it’s covered in blooming cosmos flowers with diverse colors created through different varieties. This year, they’ve even designed a mascot for locally grown Ji’an rice, “Jimie,” as the symbol for the flower field—strongly reflecting local culture. Alongside the arrival of the Year of the Monkey, they’ve also installed monkey-themed art pieces, allowing visitors to get a taste of the upcoming New Year festive spirit.

4. Fuli Flower Sea
The Fuli Flower Sea this year features an expanded 21-hectare flower field, larger than in previous years. The seasonal begonias are arranged to spell out "Fuli" in English, adding a local touch. The flower field showcases Fuli’s unique strawflowers, alongside cosmos and rapeseed flowers, creating a vibrant burst of colors. The distant rolling mountains further enhance the feeling of being in a hidden mountain paradise. In addition, the Fuli Flower Sea also displays adorable straw dolls made by locals, offering not only a visual feast of flowers but also a unique experience of rice field art.
