Xiao Jinggaoguan Hall (Feihuitang)

Xiao Jinggaoguan Hall (Feihuitang) is a cultural heritage site protected by Ji’an County.

Xiao Jinggaoguan Hall (Feihuitang) is located in Qingjiang Natural Village, Qingjiang Village, Denglong Township.

It was built as a residence by Xiao Jinggaogong, a Vice Minister of the Ming Dynasty, who retired to his hometown after resigning from his official post. The house faces south and is constructed of brick and wood using a raised-beam structural system. It features a two-courtyard-one-well layout, a main hall with two rooms, and original bamboo-plaited wall panels, with a front courtyard. The brick walls follow a pattern of two sleepers and one spacer, using lime-soil mortar as the binding material, with bricks measuring 32×15×6 centimeters. It was likely built between the end of the Wanli era and the Tianqi era of the Ming Dynasty. The entire building has largely retained its original appearance from when it was first constructed, effectively reflecting the residential architectural style of the Lu region during the Ming Dynasty.
