Former Residence of Yu Qiuli in Hefu

The former residence of Yu Qiuli in Hefu is a cultural relic protection unit of Ji’an County.

The former residence of Yu Qiuli is located in Pingli Natural Village, Hefu Village, Dunhou Town.

The house features walls on both sides, a two-story brick-and-wood structure with one hall and two rooms. It is simple and functional, and has been renovated in recent years. The interior displays his life photos and a half-length bronze bust for visitors to view. Yu Qiuli was an outstanding member of the Communist Party of China, a tested and loyal communist fighter, proletarian revolutionary, founder of China’s petroleum industry, outstanding leader in economic work, eminent political work leader in the People’s Liberation Army, member of the 11th and 12th Central Politburo and Secretariat of the Communist Party of China, former Standing Committee member of the Central Advisory Commission, former Vice Premier of the State Council, former member and deputy secretary-general of the Central Military Commission, and former director of the PLA General Political Department. He joined the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army in 1929 and the Communist Party of China in 1930. He was born in this house in 1914 and passed away in Beijing on February 3, 1999.
