Hutan Pond

Hutan Pond is located at the foot of Tiger Mountain, 1.5 kilometers west of the county town. The mountain is shaped like a crouching tiger and was historically known as “Tiger Hill Howling in the Wind,” one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Quancheng. Below it lies a deep pool, hence the name Hutan (Tiger Pool). Since the Southern Tang Dynasty, a dam has been built across the river here, giving it the name Hutan Pond.
