According to the Longquan County Annals of the Tongzhi era during the Qing Dynasty: “On the cliff there is a waterfall, where the spring water sprays dozens of zhang high, as if an immortal in white robes stands there, also said to be the trace of an immortal’s manifestation.” The Bai Shui Xian Waterfall cascades down in three tiers, with flying silver and splashing jade, and from afar resembles the Goddess Guanyin bathing—an image so lifelike. The first tier is 86 meters high and several zhang wide, known as the “Fairy Waterfall.” The second tier is about 30 meters high, called the “Pearl Waterfall,” and the third tier is over 30 meters high, known as the “Ascension Waterfall.” The surrounding area also features water attractions such as the Seven Fairies Waterfall and the Fairy Bath Basin.
