The Former Site of the Guangdong-Guangxi Provincial Committee of the CPC is a cultural tourism attraction and a classic red tourism destination.

0Former Site of the Guangdong-Guangxi Provincial Committee of the CPC, After the Red Army achieved victory in the Fourth Counter-“Encirclement and Suppression” Campaign, the Soviet area continued to expand. To facilitate administrative command and advance the revolutionary war on the southern front, as well as to develop tungsten mining and trade between the Red and White areas, on August 16, 1933, the 48th meeting of the Central People’s Committee decided to establish the Guangdong-Guangxi Province in Huichang. It governed seven counties—Yudu, Huichang, Xijiang, Xunwu, Anyuan, Xinkang—as well as the Xinglong County Committee, Wuxi Work Committee, and Xinkang-Guang County Committee, with extended guerrilla zones covering vast areas across counties in the Fujian-Guangdong-Guangxi border region. From late August to early September, a provisional provincial committee and the provincial Soviet government were successively established. On November 4, the First Congress of the Guangdong-Guangxi Province was held at the Chen Ancestral Hall in Lin’gang Dam, where 37 executive committee members were elected, including Luo Mai and Liu Xiao, with Liu Xiao serving as secretary. The provincial committee was headquartered at the Zou Residence in Wenwuba, and it irregularly published its official newspapers, Frontline and Provincial Committee Bulletin.

After the establishment of Guangdong-Guangxi Province, 550,000 soldiers and civilians on the southern front actively engaged in advancing the revolutionary war, developing the Soviet economy, and promoting social initiatives under the leadership of the 0Guangdong-Guangxi Provincial Committee. They made significant contributions to foiling the Fifth “Encirclement and Suppression” Campaign and supporting the Long March of the Central Red Army.

The site is a late Qing dynasty ancestral hall of the Zou family, featuring a single-courtyard layout with an upper and lower hall. It is 29.5 meters wide and 28.5 meters deep, with a total of 46 rooms including side wings and upper floors, covering a floor area of 840 square meters.
