Huichang City Wall is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

Huichang County was established in the seventh year of the Taiping Xingguo era during the Northern Song Dynasty. This ancient town, with its profound historical heritage, has nurtured a wealth of cultural landmarks.

Yangjiao Fortress, Longguang Pagoda, Buyun Bridge, the Hall of Great Achievements, and Lianban Mansion... each uphold the weight of Huichang’s long history. The Lai Gong Temple Fair, which has continued for over 500 years, remains vibrant to this day. The moving dragon dance, drum stepping, horse lantern performances, and bamboo hat dances... these intangible cultural heritage traditions passed down through generations tell the ever-enduring stories of Huichang. Stan Lai, hailed as “one of Asia’s foremost theater directors,” brings a unique audiovisual feast to the annual Huichang Folk Culture and Tourism Festival, driven by his deep connection to his hometown. The beauty of both ancient and modern culture collides in Huichang, sparking dazzling sparks and revealing a distinctive charm.

Huichang City Wall, located in Huichang County, Jiangxi Province, was first built during the Song Dynasty. The existing section stretches over 1,000 meters. In 2006, it was listed as a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.
