Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument of Anyuan County

The Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument of Anyuan County is a classic red tourism attraction.

To commemorate the 2,192 martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Second Revolutionary Civil War, the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Liberation War, and the period of social construction, and to inspire future generations, in March 1963, the People's Committee of Anyuan County allocated funds to build a martyrs' cemetery on the eastern slope of "Wuwei Pagoda" north of the county town. The cemetery is 7.75 meters wide, with a base height of 1.04 meters, featuring an arched screen wall in the center that is 5 meters high, inscribed with the words “Immortal Glory” in the middle and “Martyrs of the Second Revolutionary Civil War” in the upper right corner.

In 1977, the county government funded the construction of a martyrs' monument at the center in front of the cemetery, which stands 15 meters tall, 7.06 meters wide, and 5.25 meters thick. In 1983, the county government allocated special funds to establish a martyrs' park, adding facilities such as a park gate and pavilions.

Currently, the "Wuwei Pagoda" Park and the martyrs' park have been integrated, and the martyrs' park has been renovated and maintained. The facilities within the martyrs' park have been completely renewed, featuring lush pines and cypresses, green lawns, and wide pathways. It has become a scenic destination for the local people to honor the martyrs and for sightseeing, as well as an important site for patriotic education in the county. In 2009, it was designated as a Ganzhou Municipal Patriotic Education Base.
