Anyuan Longquan Lake

Located in the northeastern suburbs of the county, northwest of the Sanbai Mountains. Covering a total area of 0.33 square kilometers, it features lush forests and serene mountains, with shimmering lake waters at the foot of the hills. It has long been a popular destination for visitors to enjoy spring outings, admire the scenery, and reflect on history from elevated spots. In 1943, Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo spent three months here to escape the summer heat and personally inscribed the plaque “Xingyi Bishu” (Pleasant Retreat from Summer Heat) at the Longquan Mountain Taoist Temple. Major scenic spots include the Longquan Academy, Longquan Lake, the Zigzag Bridge, the Lakeside Pavilion, the Swimming Pool, the Longquan Lake Hotel, and the Wanshou Palace.
