The Danxia Lake Scenic Area is located 10 kilometers east of Xingguo County and 2 kilometers from National Highway 319. Here, lush mountains and emerald waters create a pleasant landscape. Surrounded by over 10,000 hectares of picturesque scenery—lush vegetation, dense forests, vast blue waters stretching as far as the eye can see—you’ll be greeted by the fresh breath of nature, filling you with joy and serenity. Wander through the quiet forest valleys, among ancient trees standing tall, where the tranquility reaches far, flowers and plants line the paths swaying in welcome, and hidden springs flow gently, accompanied by playful sounds. The scenic area features uniquely peculiar Danxia landforms. Here, bizarrely shaped rocks are vividly arrayed, and with every glance, you’ll marvel at the wonders of nature’s craftsmanship: the ancient battlefield of Tianmenzhai will transport you to dreams of its majestic presence; attractions such as Guanyin Sitting on a Lotus, the Emperor’s Seal, Immortal Peach Peak, Jade Satchel Peak, the Flying Divine Turtle, and the Emerging Water Turtle will captivate you with their exquisite, seemingly supernatural beauty... In this landscape where “nature bestows its finest essence,” blending mountain and water, you can relax at leisure tea houses, enjoy drinks at lakeside bars, savor Hakka snacks, and feast on wild vegetables and mountain delicacies. You can cheer on the young men of the Eden tribe as they walk on blades and dive through fire, applaud the graceful dances of Dai girls, marvel at Thailand’s “ladyboys,” and be amazed by performances of humans dancing with snakes.
