Former Revolutionary Sites of Xingguo

The Former Revolutionary Sites of Xingguo are a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Former Revolutionary Sites of Xingguo are located in Xingguo County, Jiangxi Province. During the Second Revolutionary Civil War period, Xingguo County was a major part of the Central Soviet Area. At that time, out of the county’s 230,000 residents, over 80,000 joined the military to fight in the war, and more than 23,000 sacrificed their lives. Major revolutionary sites include the former site of Mao Zedong’s investigation in Changgang Township, the former site of the Land Revolution Cadre Training Class, the site of the First Jiangxi Provincial Congress of Workers, Peasants, and Soldiers, the former site of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the former site of the Jiangxi Military District, and the reviewing stand.

Generals Memorial Hall: Located within the Generals Park, it covers a construction area of 5,000 square meters. The roof is designed in the shape of the Red Army’s octagonal cap, and the exhibition halls and main gate feature shapes resembling sickles and axes, highlighting the distinctive character of Xingguo as the “County of Generals.” It uses photographs, artifacts, texts, and other forms to showcase the heroic deeds of the generals and provincial- and ministerial-level leaders.
