Former Site of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China

The Former Site of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

The Former Site of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China is located on Hongjun Avenue (Niukengtang), Xingguan County.

From 1931 to 1932, the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the CPC was headquartered here. During this time, it led the people of the entire province in making great achievements in expanding the Red Army, supporting the front lines, developing production, aiding the revolutionary war, and defending and building the Soviet area. It played an important role in consolidating and expanding the base areas and improving the lives of the people. The Provincial Committee paid special attention to guiding the work in Xingguan, leading the county to achieve top performance in various tasks within the Soviet area, making it a renowned model Soviet county.

In 1932, Li Fuchun, then Secretary of the Provincial Committee, summarized and promoted Xingguan’s advanced experience in expanding the Red Army in his article “Records on the Expansion of the Red Army in Xingguan, Jiangxi,” and organized visiting groups from ten counties including Huichang and Yudu to study in Xingguan.

The site covers an area of 415 square meters, faces south with a north orientation, and is a two-story brick-and-wood structure with a flush gable roof. There are a total of 20 rooms across both floors. In August 1983, it was listed as one of the first batch of cultural relic protection units in Xingguan County, and in December 1987, it was designated as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit.
