The Pangu Ecological Tea Factory is situated in Changlong Village, Pangu Mountain Town, in the southern part of Yudu County. Enclosed by mountains at the junction of Yudu, Anyuan, and Huichang counties, it lies at an elevation of over 1,000 meters. With overlapping mountain ranges, dense forests, lush foliage, a forest coverage rate as high as 65%, 80% relative humidity, and frequent mists, the area enjoys an elegant environment. The mountain soil is fertile, with organic content of around 2%, providing naturally superior conditions for tourism.

The tea factory has 7,000 acres of pollution-free organic tea gardens, which have expanded to 10,000 acres in the past two years. The tea gardens are vibrant and expansive. On the undulating hills, rows of tea bushes are neatly arranged, while tall ornamental trees and fruit trees divide the gardens into many well-organized, charming squares. Supporting projects such as chestnut orchards, Japanese sweet persimmon orchards, plum orchards, bamboo groves, hybrid bamboo plantations, and fir tree gardens are developed in harmony, adding even more appeal to the entire tea factory. There is also a newly built small guesthouse that can accommodate 18 visitors for lodging and meals daily.

The tea factory boasts high technological content and a wide range of branded products. Its teas were listed as imperial tributes from the early Yuan Dynasty to the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. “Pangu Banhao” was rated as a Provincial High-Quality Famous Tea by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Agriculture in 1994. “Pangu Longzhu” won the Gold Award at the 2nd China Agricultural Expo in 1995 and took first place at the 1st China Qingdao International Agricultural Expo in 1996. In 2002, among 2,631 tea samples at China’s “Fine Famous Teas” Expo, it scored 98.62 points to rank second nationally. From 1995 to 2003, Pangu Tea Factory was repeatedly awarded titles such as “Youth Civilization Unit,” “Advanced Private Enterprise” by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, national and provincial Administration for Market Regulation, and the China Association for Individual Businesses. It was also recognized as an advanced star enterprise and “Well-Known Trademark” at the city and county levels. Factory Director Huang Qingbo was elected as a Provincial People's Congress deputy, a Provincial and Municipal Model Worker, and in August 2002, he was appointed as the First Executive Director of the Ganzhou Tea Culture Research Association.
