New Tokyo Metro Pass lets you explore exciting Kanto for just ¥2,800

In ever-changing Tokyo, not only do things move fast, but transportation also frequently rolls out attractive Pass tickets. The Tokyo Metro, which connects various major lines, will start selling the 2010 edition of the “Metro & Gurutto Pass” from April 1. It includes two “Tokyo Metro One-Day Passes” and a booklet called “Tokyo 'Museum Gurutto Pass 2010,” which features admission tickets and discount coupons for 70 museums, art galleries, zoos, and more across Tokyo—making it easy to enjoy the entire Greater Tokyo area.

Tokyo’s transportation network is arguably one of the most complex in the world. Its subway system alone includes the Fukutoshin Line, Ginza Line, Hibiya Line, and more, connecting the city’s busiest hubs such as Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Omotesando, Ginza, Asakusa, Ebisu, and Roppongi. The “Tokyo 'Museum Gurutto Pass 2010” is valid for two months from the first day of use. When paired with a one-day Tokyo Metro pass that allows unlimited rides all day, it becomes extremely convenient.

The “Tokyo 'Museum Gurutto Pass 2010” is priced at ¥2,800 and can be purchased at station ticket offices until the end of January 2011. It remains valid until the end of March 2011. Additionally, the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation will also release the “Toei de Gurutto Pass” during the same period. In addition to the “Tokyo 'Museum Gurutto Pass 2010,” it includes two one-day passes for the Toei Subway, Toei Bus, Toei Tram, and Nippori-Toneri Liner, called the “Toei Pass.” Priced at ¥2,800, it is available at major Toei Subway stations.
