The Former Site of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and the Central Government Office in Jing Tang is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Former Site of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and the Central Government Office in Jing Tang was built in the late Qing Dynasty. It is an asymmetric traditional residential building with the relatively unique "one-entry, two-halls, three-wings" layout common in southern Jiangxi. In December 1934, the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and the Central Government Office relocated from Kuantian Township, Yudu County to Xinwu Group, Jing Tang Village, Huanglin Township. Qu Qiubai organized the final cultural performance in the Central Soviet Area here, historically known as the "Jing Tang Performance." Xiang Ying, Chen Yi, Mao Zetan, Chen Tanqiu, He Shuheng, Liu Bojian, Deng Zihui, and others watched the performance together with local soldiers and civilians. The Jing Tang Performance was the last such event in the Central Soviet Area, strengthening the people's resolve and confidence in resisting the enemy and effectively covering the strategic transfer of the Central Red Army. In early February 1935, the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and the Central Government Office left their base and moved to Huangni Village, Hefeng Town.

The Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and the Central Government Office were the highest leadership bodies of the Party, government, and military left behind in the Central Soviet Area after the Long March of the Central Red Army. They serve as key evidence of the transition period for the remaining Red Army, from regular operations to cover the main force’s retreat to decentralized guerrilla warfare. They were the political center of the Central Soviet Area after the Red Army’s Long March and a beacon of hope for the soldiers and civilians there for a time, playing a significant role in defending the Central Soviet Area and covering the strategic transfer of the main Red Army forces.

On October 7, 2019, the Former Site of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and the Central Government Office in Jing Tang was included in the eighth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
