The former site of the Red Fourth Army Headquarters is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

The former site of the Red Fourth Army Headquarters is located at the Clan Temple of the Ge Family, at Nos. 5 and 6 Jianguo Road, Jiefang Neighborhood Committee, Gongjiang Town, Yudu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. Originally built as the Ge Clan Temple during the mid-Qing Dynasty, the site faces south and consists of a gate tower, courtyard, porch, a two-courtyard-three-hall layout, and side rooms on the right. It features a mixed structure of brick, wood, and earth, with a flush gable roof and horse-head walls. The gate tower is located on the left front side of the temple, facing west to east, and was originally a four-pillar, three-bay, three-story structure with red stone door frames and thresholds. The porch features openwork carvings of mythical ao fish motifs, while the main door is adorned with carved floral patterns. The interior floor is paved with blue bricks. The courtyard is brick-built, with red stone slabs forming the edges. Various inscriptions in red stone and blue bricks are embedded in the outer temple walls. This temple was built within the city by descendants of the Ge family from Gewo Township as a site for ancestral worship for all Ge families in the county. On April 8, 1929, Comrades Mao Zedong and Zhu De led the Red Fourth Army in their first occupation of Yudu. The Red Fourth Army Headquarters was stationed at the Ge Clan Temple in the county town, with Army Commander Zhu De residing in the side room of the upper hall. In 2008, it was reinvestigated and registered during the third national cultural relics census and included in the list of immovable cultural relics of Yudu County. In 2012, it was listed in the protection plan for revolutionary sites and relics in the former Central Soviet Area, including southern Jiangxi. On March 9, 2018, it was designated as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province.
