Yanwu Bridge

Yanwu Bridge is located along the Huandao Road in Xiamen, stretching from the Navy Wharf to Yanwu Road to Baimian. It was opened to traffic in September 2003. The bridge was built on the site of the ancient Yanwu Pool and Yanwu Field. On its western side, across the sea, stands the statue of Zheng Chenggong (Koxinga), which is why it was named “Yanwu,” a local place name associated with Zheng Chenggong.

Tips:

To capture the magnificent view of seawater close to the bottom of the bridge, plan your visit during high tide. You can check the specific high tide times on the “China Maritime Service Network” through their tidal chart.
