Xiamen Airlines flight attendants debut retro-inspired uniforms; Dreamliner takes off in September

Xiamen Airlines announced that its first Boeing 787 officially joined the fleet on August 31 and is scheduled to make its maiden flight on the Fuzhou–Beijing route on September 6. It will then alternate between the Xiamen–Beijing and Fuzhou–Beijing routes.

The B787 cabin features a classic three-class layout with a total of 237 seats: 4 in first class, 18 in business class, and 215 in economy class. Both first and business class are outfitted with leather seats that can recline fully flat at 180 degrees. Economy class seats have a pitch of 84 cm, offering passengers more overall space.

Xiamen Airlines also stated that this 787 has been upgraded with regard to the in-flight entertainment system, LED lighting, window dimming, and lavatory systems, providing passengers with a more comfortable flying experience.

Alongside the debut of this Boeing 787, Xiamen Airlines also unveiled its latest cabin crew uniform collection, changing the color from purple to the blue of the company logo, with varying shades representing different crew positions. Xiamen Airlines said the new uniform’s wide belts, three-quarter sleeves, and small hats combine minimalist and retro design elements, aiming to convey an image of elegant and confident flight attendants.
