Sponsored by Xiamen Shuxingke Outdoor Products Co., Ltd., organized by the Physical Education Department of Xiamen University, hosted by the Xiamen University Mountaineering Association, and with technical support from the Xiamen Rock Climbing Club, the finals of the 7th "Shuxingke Cup" Rock Climbing Competition at Xiamen University were successfully held at the Xiamen University Student Quality Development Base on April 21.
This edition of the competition saw the emergence of a large number of outstanding participants, and many university students new to rock climbing gained valuable experience and improvement through the event and its related activities.
In the novice category, Zhong Yanjing and Wang Yilong won the championships in "Women's Lead Climbing" and "Men's Lead Climbing," respectively, while Liu Xueqi and He Senxu claimed the titles in "Women's Bouldering" and "Men's Bouldering." The novice category was also the most fun-filled among all events. This experience, where newcomers use their bodies and limbs to defy gravity, is not only a test of overcoming psychological fear but also a challenge of perseverance and self-improvement. It perfectly embodies the spirit of "self-improvement and the courage to scale new heights!"
Xie Mouzhe from the professional group is a handsome young man with years of climbing experience and highly skilled techniques. He delivered an outstanding performance to win the championship in "Men's Lead Climbing" and also secured second place in "Men's Bouldering." Zhao Wen, another talented participant from the professional group, earned second place in "Women's Bouldering" and third place in "Women's Lead Climbing." Her fighting spirit on the competition field left a deep impression on all spectators. There was also foreign participant Staffan, who, despite not speaking fluent Chinese, performed exceptionally well and frequently received applause and cheers from the audience.
A total of 150 rock climbing enthusiasts from universities in Xiamen participated in this competition. Over the course of two days, April 14 and April 21, 36 awards across 8 events in 2 categories were determined.
As an outdoor brand that exemplifies the most authentic and original brand ethos in Fujian Province and even nationwide, "Shuxingke" continues to advocate the concept of "authentic travel enthusiasts," paying attention to the development of outdoor sports among contemporary university students. It supports students in experiencing the thrill and joy of rock climbing and also fosters in them the spirit of "self-improvement and the courage to scale new heights," encouraging them to bring this spirit into their daily work and studies. This form of rock climbing competition, which encourages university students to be enterprising and challenge themselves, has been affirmed by the Physical Education Department of Xiamen University and effectively reflects the spirit of national fitness activities.
