The 2017 Xiamen International Fashion Week is about to begin, and a citywide celebration under the name of "fashion" is set to unfold. Designed to display Xiamen’s "striking looks" and "refined character," this fashion event will present the city’s local fashion strength—open, diverse, inclusive, and globally minded—through four major segments: industry matchmaking, fashion showcases, trendy shopping, and the city of fashion. It will contribute to Xiamen’s transformation into an international fashion city in the post-BRICS era.
An international fashion week is where fashion trends converge, bringing together trendsetters from various fields. It is reported that stars such as Show Lo and Wu Sheng will be joining the 2017 Xiamen International Fashion Week.

Trend GO Music Carnival Nov. 16–19
This year’s Trend GO Music Carnival will see Show Lo personally attending with his personal streetwear brand DEBRAND. How will this musical talent spice up the trendy party? Besides Show Lo, what other brands and highlights can we expect at the Trend GO Music Carnival?
A series of activities—including a trendy party, market stalls, creative graffiti, hairstyling and makeup experiences for trendsetters, and street basketball performances—will take you through a night of trends and deliver a one-of-a-kind fashion extravaganza.
Xiamen International Fashion Forum Nov. 15
As one of the co-founders and chief strategist of Luoji Siwei (Logic Thinking), Wu Sheng will personally attend the fashion forum to share his unique “business methodology” developed within the commercial landscape, and explore the underlying operational logic of things from the perspective of the “new species.”
In addition to Wu Sheng, the Xiamen International Fashion Week has also invited many industry heavyweights, including Yao Yingjia, Vice President of Lenovo Group; Qu Guangci, founder of the “Xixi” brand; Wang Shiying, Vice President of Strategy Planning at iQIYI; and Dan Jie, President of YANBOOKS. Together, they will lead you through an icy-hot symphony on the theme of “fashion’s new species.”

According to Baidu Baike, Mao Ting holds many titles: a renowned emerging visual designer in China, MV director, illustrator, and founder of Seemingly Culture. Starting with “Qi Pa Shuo,” she went on to perform on over 30 online variety shows including “Fan Ju De You Huo,” “Shi San Yi Fen Bei,” and “Da Xue Sheng Lai Le,” repainting the traditional dark red, deep purple, and navy blue stages of TV variety shows with bold 90s colors like magenta, ice green, and bright yellow.
This time, Mao Ting will bring her original design work MAOS-IF to Xiamen. She will collaborate with Wan Qian Tang Art Company, which interprets Eastern aesthetics through pottery.
