Star Cruises' "Gemini Star" will set Xiamen as its home port starting October 9, 2013, launching four exciting routes visiting Keelung and Penghu in Taiwan, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Hong Kong, Boracay, and Manila. Passengers can depart from the picturesque city of Xiamen aboard the "Gemini Star," not only enjoying the stunning scenery along the way but also indulging in the ship’s rich culinary offerings, shopping, spa, fitness, and a variety of leisure activities, experiencing an unforgettable cruise holiday.

The German Munich Oktoberfest will be held in October, and the "Gemini Star," sailing across Asia, will offer special beer package deals at its multiple onboard restaurants to celebrate the festival with passengers. The "Gemini Star's" 11 restaurants and chef team have specially designed dining options for Chinese travelers. At the open-deck Joffre Road BBQ Restaurant, enjoy magnificent sea views while savoring various German cuisines, seafood, and steaks. The Red House Western Restaurant offers a European-style dining experience. Meanwhile, the Dynasty Restaurant and Shanghai Old Restaurant serve exquisite Chinese dishes and premium soups, while the Blue Lake Café offers authentic Southeast Asian specialties, letting travelers taste the flavors of the world.
The highly acclaimed "Melody & Dance" and "Cabaret Show" performances on the "Gemini Star" will continue to deliver world-class entertainment for passengers on the Xiamen home port sailings. World champion ballroom dance couples from Belarus, Star Cruises’ professional dancers, and mesmerizing acrobats, combined with stunning stage designs and music, create a visual and auditory feast. The Las Vegas illusion master Leslie McKinney, who has participated in numerous global TV and live performances, will invite passengers to embark on a magical mystery journey at the Paramount Lounge.
Additionally, health-conscious travelers can work out in the ship’s swimming pool, fitness center, and jogging track. Parents traveling with children can join the diverse games, themed parties, and activities organized by the Kids Club. The four routes departing from Xiamen are: the 6-day, 5-night Xiamen/Penghu/Kaohsiung/Hong Kong/Xiamen voyage departing October 9; the 7-day, 6-night Xiamen/Boracay/Manila/Xiamen voyage departing October 14; the 6-day, 5-night Xiamen/Penghu/Keelung/Taichung/Kaohsiung/Xiamen voyage departing October 20; and the Xiamen/Hong Kong route departing October 25. Each route has its own unique highlights—for example, the October 9 route connects Taiwan and Hong Kong, making it a must-do journey across the Taiwan Strait and Hong Kong. The October 20 Taiwan itinerary allows travelers to experience the beauty of three major Taiwanese cities—Taipei (Keelung), Taichung, and Kaohsiung—along with the idyllic Penghu. The October 14 Xiamen/Boracay/Manila/Xiamen 7-day, 6-night voyage is a top choice for many Xiamen residents, visiting the resort paradise of Boracay and the vibrant city of Manila. Star Cruises now also offers a weekend one-night maritime holiday on the Xiamen/Hong Kong route. Passengers who book before September 30 can purchase the "Gemini Star" one-night Xiamen/Hong Kong voyage departing October 25 at a promotional price starting from RMB 580 (approximately TWD 2,850), allowing them to explore and shop in Hong Kong and enjoy an exciting weekend.
