The former residence of Lin Yutang in Xiamen is a cultural tourism attraction.

The former residence of Lin Yutang is located on Zhangzhou Road on Gulangyu Island. It was the home of Lin Yutang’s wife, Liao Cuifeng. It is one of the oldest villas on Gulangyu, with a history of over 150 years. The villa is in the British style, featuring a small flower garden at the back and two-story buildings on both sides. The Liao family villa once enjoyed great prestige on Gulangyu, but nowadays, due to years of disrepair, the front part has become dilapidated and the main entrance is off-limits. Visitors can only admire from outside the place where the master once lived.
