Gulang Cave

Gulang Cave is located on the southwestern seashore of Gulangyu Island, right by the shore in front of the "Gulang Villa."

It is a weathered rock cave that has been eroded and hollowed out by sea waves over thousands of years. During high tides, when the wind is strong and the waves are high, the surging waves crash against the cave, producing thunderous roars. This is how it got the name "Gulang" (Drum Waves). The reef extends about 20 meters. The cave is about 3 meters high and over 1 meter wide.
