Marathon Group Sculpture

A bronze sculpture group consisting of 99 marathon runners and cheerleaders is located along Xiamen’s Huandao Road. The vibrant running postures of the athletes will be forever captured on this most beautiful racecourse.

Each sculpture in the group stands approximately 2 meters tall, made of bronze, and all are rendered in a realistic artistic style. The sculpture group is divided into three sections: the first section features elite athletes from the leading pack, specifically capturing their dynamic expressions as they sprint toward the finish line; the second section comprises both professional athletes and a few amateur participants, highlighting their tenacious will and fighting spirit as they strive to catch up; the third section focuses on amateur athletes, emphasizing their spirit of participation for the love of the sport. Also forever immortalized is a touching moment from the event: an elderly person seated in a wheelchair and pushed by family members taking part in the race.
