The Former Site of the Xiamen Prison Break Struggle is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Former Site of the Xiamen Prison Break Struggle is located northwest of the First Fire Brigade on Siming South Road, No. 453, covering an area of 831 square meters. It currently preserves three cellblocks: the front block with 5 cells, the middle block with 5 cells, and the rear block with 10 cells, along with an open-air corridor topped with iron grilles. In 1982, it was designated as part of the second batch of municipal cultural heritage sites by the Xiamen Municipal Government, and in 1985, it was listed as part of the second batch of provincial cultural heritage sites by the provincial government.

The well-curated exhibition hall is divided into three sections. The first section displays photos and textual materials depicting real people, events, and locations. A television in the exhibition room plays clips from the film "Springtime in a Small Town" related to the prison break struggle. The second section showcases restored instruments of torture, with lifelike fiberglass figures of police officers and martyrs in mock "interrogation rooms," and chilling "torture devices" such as the tiger bench and wooden horse chair. The third section is a replica of the prison area, largely restoring the original cells, with a bas-relief mural titled "Tales of the Small Town" combining images and text on the wall opposite the cells.
