The Xie Clan Ancestral Hall of Xunku

The Xie Clan Ancestral Hall of Xunku is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Xie Clan Ancestral Hall of Xunku is located in the central part of Xunku Community, Dadeng Subdistrict. Built during the Qing Dynasty, it was renovated in the early 1990s. Facing east and situated to the west, it is a two-courtyard traditional house with a central courtyard. It has a width of 11 meters and a total depth of 20 meters (including a front section depth of 5.5 meters, a 4.5-meter courtyard, and a rear section depth of 10 meters), with an interior height of 5.4 meters and a construction area of 220 square meters. The central courtyard gate is a single-bay recessed porch. The plaque above the main gate is blurred and illegible. In front of the gate stands a single drum-shaped stone. The baseboards and stone column bases of the front courtyard retain original Qing Dynasty features. Stone carving panels featuring qilin (mythical creatures) can be found on the wall panels on both sides of the gate. The courtyard gate has a flush gable roof and swallowtail ridges, with dragon head sculptures at the ridge ends. The gate is connected to surrounding walls on both sides. The rear courtyard houses the main hall, which features a post-and-lintel beam structure, a flush gable roof, and swallowtail ridges with dragon head sculptures at the ridge ends. It exhibits typical Southern Fujian architectural style.

Dadeng Subdistrict: In 2005, Dadeng Town was abolished and replaced with Dadeng Subdistrict. The subdistrict office is located in Xitian.
