Cat Museum

The Cat Museum is home to over 50 cats of more than ten breeds, mainly including American Shorthairs, British Shorthairs, Garfield cats, Chinchillas, Burmese Sacred Cats, Siamese cats, Scottish Folds, and more.

The walls, bookshelves, sofas, and cabinets in the museum are also covered with cat-related items—various cat plush toys, porcelain, throw pillows, miscellaneous goods, handmade crafts, and even the meals are shaped like cats.

Inside the museum, there is a “Meow Star” high-speed train carriage. If you want to get up close, you need to pay an additional 10 yuan for a 30-minute visit.

The Cat Museum is located near Ding’aozi, a popular student hangout area with many small shops and street food. It’s situated at the intersection of Nanhua Road and Siming South Road. The streets of Ding’aozi are not wide or large, featuring stone-paved paths, quaint little shops, and quite a few foreign visitors, giving it a slight Hong Kong-Macau vibe.

The Cat Museum houses only pedigreed cats, which can only be viewed through glass. There are many small plush toys, accessories, and other merchandise, but the prices are not cheap.
