Liantang Villa is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Location: Haicang New Street, Haicang Subdistrict, Haicang District, Xiamen

Introduction: Built between 1904 and 1906 (the 30th to 32nd years of the Guangxu reign in the Qing Dynasty) by Chen Bingyou, a Vietnamese overseas Chinese. The property comprises a main residence, schoolhouse, ancestral hall, and garden, spanning around 30,000 square meters with a constructed area of 8,235 square meters. The main residence features a flush-gable roof with a post-and-lintel structure, facing northeast and situated southwest. Its core construction consists of a two-courtyard main block flanked by wing rooms and enclosed by a rear boundary wall and double side wings, forming a double-layered quadrangle compound with spacious courtyards. The architectural craftsmanship is exquisite, with refined wood carvings, stone carvings, and brick carvings.

Protected Area: To the south, it extends to Lotus Isle River; to the north, 20 meters outward from the northern corner of the main residence wall; to the west, 20 meters outward from the outer wall of the family temple; and to the east, 20 meters outward from the outer wall of the main residence courtyard.

In 2009, Liantang Villa was designated as part of the seventh batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.
