Location: No. 2 Qianluhuicheng, Siming District, Xiamen City, within Wen’an Primary School

Introduction: Jiangxia Hall is the ancestral worship hall of the Huang Clan’s Grand Ancestral Temple. The Huang Clan Grand Ancestral Temple was initiated by Huang Peisong, a martial arts top scholar from Nan’an in the late Qing Dynasty, constructed in the second year of the Xuantong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1910), and completed in 1918. Today, only the ancestral worship hall and the clan association building remain. Jiangxia Hall faces north and covers an area of 373 square meters. It has five bays in width and eight rafters in depth, stands 12.5 meters tall, and features a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof with a brick, stone, and timber structure. At the center of the roof is a caisson ceiling in the shape of a dougong cluster, built up with layers of brackets. The ancestral shrine is exquisitely carved and entirely gilded, sitting atop a bluestone Sumeru pedestal.

Protected Area: A 10-meter extension around the ancestral worship hall and the clan association building.

In 2009, Jiangxia Hall was designated as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People's Government of Fujian Province.
