Liao Family Villa on Gulangyu Island is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Liao Family Villa on Gulangyu Island is located on Gulangyu Island in Siming District, Xiamen City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Built in the 1850s, it consists of a main building and an auxiliary building. The main and auxiliary buildings are adjacent to each other and feature colonial veranda-style architecture. The main building faces west and sits east, consisting of a two-story Western-style structure with a semi-underground damp-proof layer, constructed with red bricks and white plaster walls. The building has a “U”-shaped floor plan, measuring 19 meters in width and 31 meters in depth. The auxiliary building, known as "Liren Zhai," is a two-story brick-concrete Western-style structure also with a semi-underground damp-proof layer, built with red bricks and white plaster walls. It faces south and sits north, measuring approximately 15.5 meters in width and about 6 meters in depth.

Protected area: A 20-meter extension outward from the surrounding walls of the building.

In 2018, Liao Family Villa on Gulangyu Island was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People's Government of Fujian Province.
