Wu Ancestral Hall on Gulangyu Island is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Wu Ancestral Hall on Gulangyu Island is located on Gulangyu Island in Siming District, Xiamen City, and dates back to the Republican Era.

Description: Built in the 1920s, this two-story structure covers a construction area of approximately 718 square meters. The exterior features a Nanyang-style façade, with the lower section of the base and wall up to the dado constructed from strip stones, and the upper part built with high-quality glazed standard bricks laid in tight joints. The roof has flying eaves and upturned ridges, topped with a hip-and-gable roof. Inside, the ground floor combines Chinese and Western column styles, while the second floor is constructed with traditional Chinese wooden framework, primarily decorated with gold-lacquered paintings and auspicious couplets typical of Chinese ornamentation.

Protective boundary: The area extends 20 meters outward from all sides of the building.

In 2018, Wu Ancestral Hall on Gulangyu Island was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.
