The former site of Zhongnan Bank on Gulangyu Island is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

The former site of Zhongnan Bank on Gulangyu Island is located on Gulangyu Island in Siming District, Xiamen City, dating back to the Republican era.

Introduction: Zhongnan Bank was founded in 1921, with its head office in Shanghai, China. In August 1922, the Xiamen branch was established, and in 1934, a Gulangyu office was added. The building faces south and is a three-story Western-style structure made of brick and concrete, with a rooftop terrace and single-story flat-roofed sections. The entire building has a simple design, with a rectangular floor plan measuring 19 meters east-west and 13 meters north-south. The first floor has a main entrance at the southeast corner near the street, flanked by a pair of circular columns that support a small open balcony on the second floor. Each floor features large rectangular windows along the exterior walls. The east and south sides of the first floor are decorated with triangular window pediments, while the second-floor windows are adorned with Western-style curved floral-patterned stucco moldings below the window sills.

Protected area: An extension of 20 meters outward from all sides of the building.

In 2018, the former site of Zhongnan Bank on Gulangyu Island was designated as a ninth batch provincial-level cultural relic protection unit by the People's Government of Fujian Province.
