Fuhai Lu Residence

Fuhai Lu Residence is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Fuhai Lu Residence is located in Gangweizai Lane, Xianggang Subdistrict, Siming District, Xiamen City, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Introduction: Constructed in the 31st year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1905), it faces south and comprises a courtyard gate, courtyard yard, front section, main section, and two side wing rooms, representing a classic "two-section with side wings" style of Fujian red-brick traditional architecture. The front section is three bays wide and one bay deep, while the rear section is three bays wide and two bays deep. Both feature post-and-lintel beam frames and flush-gable roofs.

In 2013, Fuhai Lu Residence was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: An additional 20 meters extending outward from all sides of the residence.

Xianggang Subdistrict: Located in the southwestern part of Xiamen Island, a garden city on China’s southeast coast, Xianggang Subdistrict in Siming District, Xiamen City, borders the thousand-year-old Nanputuo Temple and the century-old Xiamen University to the east, ends at the Yanwu Bridge to the south, faces the seaside garden of Gulangyu Island to the west, and leans against the Wulao Peaks of the Wanshi Botanical Garden to the north. Covering an area of 1.76 square kilometers, it has a permanent population of 36,000 and a floating population of nearly 10,000.
