The Former Site of the Second Congress of the Communist Party of China Fujian Provincial Committee on Gulangyu Island is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Former Site of the Second Congress of the Communist Party of China Fujian Provincial Committee on Gulangyu Island is located on Neicu’ao Road, Gulangyu Subdistrict, Siming District, Xiamen City, dating back to 1930.

Description: Originally built as an overseas Chinese residence in 1920. The building faces north and is situated to the south. It is a one-story Western-style structure with surrounding walls and a gate, featuring a construction area of 180 square meters and a site area of 528 square meters. From February 15 to 20, 1930, the Second Provincial Congress of the Communist Party of China Fujian Committee was secretly held here. Yun Daiying, Secretary-General of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the meeting to convey the spirit of the Sixth National Congress of the CPC. The congress re-elected the provincial leadership, passed ten resolutions on politics, organization, and other matters, as well as the “Message to the People,” effectively guiding the revolutionary struggle in Fujian at that time.

In 2013, the Former Site of the Second Congress of the Communist Party of China Fujian Provincial Committee on Gulangyu Island was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: An extension of 10 meters around the site.
