Jimei University Science Building

The Science Building is located at No. 2 Jicen Road, Jimei, and was built in September 1922. It was damaged during the War of Resistance Against Japan by Japanese aircraft bombings and was restored in 1946. In November 1949, it was bombed again by Kuomintang aircraft and was repaired in 1951. It now serves as the Science Building of Jimei University.

The building faces south with a north orientation, features a brick-and-wood structure, and has a construction area of 2,657 square meters. The gate tower and corner towers are four stories high, while the two wings are three stories. The building features front-and-rear corridor designs: the first floor has an arched corridor, the second floor has a square corridor with Gothic columns as decorative elements in the middle, and the third floor has front and rear balconies. The roof is a Western-style double-pitched roof covered with red machine-made flat tiles. The exterior walls are mainly painted in white with a touch of pink. The gate tower and corner towers feature richly decorated gables. The column capitals, eaves, and pediments are adorned with Baroque-style decorations.
