Wengong Academy

Wengong Academy is a cultural heritage site under the protection of Tong’an District.

Wengong Academy is located behind the Scripture Depository of Fahua Temple on Datong Street, Tong’an District. It is a county-level cultural heritage site dating back to the Yuan Dynasty.

Protected Area: to the front up to the Scripture Depository of Fahua Temple, to the back up to the Thousand Buddha Pavilion, and 60 meters outward from the east and west walls respectively.

Datong Subdistrict: Datong Subdistrict covers an area of 19.51 square kilometers, with a registered population of 60,361. It comprises 9 communities: Tongxin, Xi’an, Sanxiu, Houlu, Xibian, Chengxi, Fengshan, Beimen, and Xichi; and 9 village committees: Tianyang, Guzhuang, Chaoyuan, Dongshan, Dingxitou, Biyue, Dongzhai, Xiaxitou, and Kangxun.
