The former residence of Cai Fu Yi is a cultural heritage site under the protection of Tong'an District.

The former residence of Cai Fu Yi is located at No. 9 Huan Cheng Zhong Lu, Datong Subdistrict, Tong'an District. It is a county-level cultural heritage site dating back to the Ming Dynasty.

Protected area: 2.2 meters beyond the front eaves of the building, 7 meters beyond the rear wall, and 10 meters outward on both the eastern and western sides.

Cai Fu Yi (1577–1625), courtesy name Jingfu, art name Yuanlu, was a native of Caicuo in Liupu Bao, Qixiangli Shiqi Du, Xiangfeng, Tong'an County (now part of Kinmen). As a child, he was exceptionally intelligent and wrote an over ten-thousand-character "Biography of Fan Li" at the age of 12. In the 22nd year of the Wanli era (1594) during the Ming Dynasty, he passed the provincial imperial examination, and the following year, he ranked seventh in the national imperial examination, embarking on an official career.

Throughout his long official career—from serving as a Criminal Ministry official to becoming a regional governor—Cai Fu Yi consistently upheld three principles he himself articulated: “Serve the nation with loyalty, shoulder national affairs with sincerity, and uphold national policies with equanimity.” He made contributions to the Ming Dynasty that were described as “unparalleled in two hundred years…” More details about Cai Fu Yi ++
