The Inscription on Guo Yanyin’s “Happy Retreat” is a cultural relics protection unit of Tong’an District.

The Inscription on Guo Yanyin’s “Happy Retreat” is located 500 meters east of Guoshan Village, Hongtang Town, Tong’an District. It is a county-level cultural relics protection unit dating back to the Song Dynasty.

Protected area: 80 meters outward from all sides of the stone stele.

Guoshan Village: Located northeast of Hongtang Town, 3 kilometers from National Highway 324, Guoshan Village administers six natural villages—Guoshan, Liucuo, Pufen, Houximei, Qianyuan, and Xincuo—as well as 15 villager groups, with 1,030 households and a population of 2,996. The village has a Party branch with six Party groups and 104 Party members. The village’s signature product, the “Guoshan Brand” purple eggplant, is well-known and economically successful. In 2011, the village generated fiscal revenue of 51,000 yuan, and the per capita income of villagers was 10,414 yuan.
