Taohua Rock Cliff Inscriptions
The Taohua Rock Cliff Inscriptions are a cultural heritage site protected at the district level in Tong’an District.
The Taohua Rock Cliff Inscriptions are located on Lotus Mountain in Houpu Village, Lianhua Town, Tong’an District, to the northwest. They are a district-level cultural heritage site dating back to the Song Dynasty.
Protected area: The “Taohua Rock,” “Lingyuan,” the cliff inscriptions, the Shishi Rock, and the exposed rock formations, each extending 50 meters outward.
Houpu Village: Houpu Village is located approximately 3.5 kilometers northwest of the Lianhua Town government seat. The village has 497 households and a population of 1,791, comprising 8 natural villages, 7 villager groups, and 7 independently accounted groups. The village has a Party branch with 3 Party subgroups and a total of 77 Party members. The main economic activities are agriculture, ginger cultivation, and koi fish farming, which serve as the village’s primary sources of income.
