Former Residence of Li Changgeng

The former residence of Li Changgeng, also known as "Bo Mansion," is located at No. 27, Houbin Village, Maxiang Town. It was built during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty. The building faces west and covers an area of approximately 310 square meters. It has two courtyards, with a brick-and-wood structure and a hanging gable roof. The front hall has three bays in width and two in depth, while the rear section also has three bays in width and two in depth. Originally, it featured a post-and-lintel beam frame and a flush gable roof. There are wing rooms on both sides, though only the southern row remains today, with five bays in width and one in depth. It also has a post-and-lintel beam frame and a flush gable roof. This building is an example of the traditional red-brick residential style of southern Fujian, constructed with a combination of timber, earth, brick, and stone, and features a simple architectural style.
