Nan'an Zhongxian Mansion

Nan'an Zhongxian Mansion is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

After Zheng Chenggong reclaimed Taiwan in 1662, a large number of Zheng family soldiers remained on the island to reclaim land and farm. During the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty, Shijing maritime merchant Zheng Yunjin established a fleet in Taiwan and opened the "Boxing Hang" trading company. After becoming prosperous, he used his wealth to purchase the official title of "Zhongxian Dafu." He then purchased high-quality fir timber from Taiwan and transported it back to Shijing to build the "Zhongxian Mansion." It earned the name "Zhongxian Mansion" because his son, Zheng Rucheng, was appointed as a Prefectural Sima with an honorary fifth-rank promotion and was granted the title of Zhongxian Dafu, which extended honors to three generations.

The total area of Nan'an Zhongxian Mansion is 7,780 square meters. It features white stone and red brick walls, with the main structure consisting of a five-courtyard palace complex, along with auxiliary buildings such as a study hall, a martial arts training hall, a dressing tower, and a garden. To this day, the overall structure remains well-preserved. Also known as the "Ninety-Nine Rooms" (though it actually has 112 rooms), the Nan'an Zhongxian Mansion was included in the seventh batch of National Cultural Relics Protection Units in May 2013.
