Nan'an Herb World

The Herb World Resort is situated in the Tianzhu Mountain Scenic Area of Nan'an City, Fujian Province, covering an area of 5,000 acres at an altitude of over a thousand meters. The resort spans 5,000 acres, and the scenic area has a rich cultural background, including ancient Song Dynasty temples, Song wells, Song stone pots, Song stone mortars, Yuan Dynasty ancestral tomb pagodas, stone Buddha statues, and cliff carvings. These have been documented in various historical records such as the "Bamin Tongzhi" from the Ming Dynasty and the "Nan'an County Annals" since the Qing Dynasty. Various news media from the central to local levels have reported on it extensively. The area is steeped in beautiful and magical folklore, once an ancient dwelling place of immortals, now a leisure destination for the people.

The Herb World Resort features undulating natural forests, vast fields of blooming lavender paradises, and stunningly vibrant cherry blossoms. It offers a dazzling array of rare flowers and trees from around the world, as well as enchanting South European rural castles and windmill fairy tales. There are also a variety of family-friendly theme activities for all to enjoy, plus the chance to savor delicious exotic herb cuisine.

1. Japanese Cherry Blossoms

The flowering period at Nan'an Herb World is approximately from mid-March to mid-April each year, lasting about a month, attracting a large number of self-driving visitors from Quanzhou, Xiamen, and surrounding areas.

2. Rural Farmhouse Cuisine

The scenic area offers authentic countryside-style farm food. It also promotes the sales of local agricultural specialties from Penghua Town, such as navel oranges, persimmon cakes, Tieguanyin tea, dried mustard greens, handmade noodles, ginkgo nuts, chickens, and ducks.

3. Vast Fields of Lavender

The Herb World cultivates various herbs from around the world, among which French lavender is the most eye-catching.

4. Dutch Windmills

The Nan'an Herb World incorporates many Dutch elements, with windmills being the most iconic.

5. Tianzhu Temple with Over 700 Years of History

Tianzhu Rock Temple was built in the ninth year of the Xianchun era during the Southern Song Dynasty (1273 AD), and it has a history of over 700 years. Every year, numerous residents of Nan'an come to worship here. The Great Buddha’s Hall houses a 3.8-ton, 2-meter-tall jade statue of Sakyamuni, which was brought from Myanmar by the eminent monk Master Shengzhong, originally from Sucuo Village, Penghua Town, Nan'an, and residing in Indonesia. The temple enjoys widespread reverence.
